"Road Rides"
These days, "road riding" generally refers to the type of very serious pedaling undertaken by bicycle clubs and individuals with very expensive bikes. Unless you are well-experienced in the handling of your bicycle and well-versed in the rules of the road, you probably should not attempt ANY type of ride where you'll be alongside automobile traffic for more than a few minutes at a time.
